6-Tesla family compound
A multi-generational compound on the Rockcliffe edge. Three Model X, two Model Y, one Cybertruck. The original 200A service was tripping the main during evening cluster-charging. Owner needed every car ready by 7 a.m. without thinking about it.
We pulled the load calc, drew the upgrade as a 400A overhead service with twin 200A panels — one dedicated to the EV bank. Six Tesla Wall Connectors hardwired in a daisy-chain with native power-share, sized to a 96A continuous bus.
Trenching from the new pole-mount transformer ran along the east property line. Square D QO panels, Cerro 2/0 copper service entrance, Carlon PVC underground. ESA inspector signed off on the same-day re-energization.
Result: All six chargers run simultaneously without breaker trips. Family charges overnight on off-peak rates. Power share dynamically allocates the 96A bus across whichever cars are plugged in.
// The Team
“Every panel I touch leaves better than I found it.”
“Wiring is software now. I treat it that way.”
“Coming up the right way under Dre.”
// Project Flow
Master electrician on-site. We walk the panel, check service capacity, identify load, calculate available headroom per OESC.
Stamped single-line, load calc, ESA permit application. We file everything with the authority having jurisdiction.
We coordinate the ESA inspector for rough-in and final. You don't lift a finger on the paperwork.
Materials staged, Hydro Ottawa power-down coordinated, work executed by ESA-licensed crew. Site cleaned, photos archived.
Inspector signs off. You receive the ESA Certificate of Acceptance, as-built drawings, panel directory, photos — digitally archived.
// Service Calculator
Three inputs → recommended service capacity + upgrade range. Ballpark only — final via load calc.
Standard 200A panel + ESA permit. 1-day install.
// Service Area
Permit-pulling, ESA-inspecting, ON + QC licensed.
// Technical FAQ
Permit submission and ESA review run 3–5 business days. Install itself is one day with a 4-hour Hydro Ottawa power-down. Final ESA inspection within a week of energization. Total elapsed: typically 10–14 business days.
